Welcome to Shaheen Public Higher Secondary School
The School was started in April 1989 with name as Shaheen Public School, The School was started with classes up to I" primary. At present school has classes from Nursery to 12th and affiliated to J&K Board of School Education. A management committee runs it. The school is situated in heart of town having easy Access from all the sides of town.
The school aims at imparting the children refined and quality education. The stress is laid on the following elements.

- To inculeate the spirit of brotherhood, secularism and develop interest in the process of learning.

Games, Sports and non-scholastic activities
The school has a play ground which can be used only for game like Kho Kho, Kabbdi, Volley Ball, Badminton etc The schoul physical teacher shall supervise the sports activities and mange inter house interclass sports competition separately for boys and girls.
Academic Year and Examination
The academic year is March- April / Oct.- Nov. and the examination shall be conducted as per CCE scheme. Prescribed by Board for classes for I to IX. The courses to be taught are strictly in accordance to the books prescribed by the Board.
Note To Students/Parents for Classes
With the introduction of continuous comprehensive evaluation scheme by the J & K Board of school Education. The syllabus from class First Primary to 7th has been reframed. The courses to be taught are strictly in accordance to the books prescribed by the Board.
Mode Of Examination And Weightage
The three unit tests shall be of 10% of total weightage where as Terminal First (Half yearly ) shall be of 30% and terminal second (Final Examination of 40%. 2. In final Examination (T2) Syllabus of unit three shall also be Covered. The grade for First terminal (TI) will be on the basis of 50% Weightage and grade for the second terminal (T2) shall be on the basis of 100% (over all weightage).

Admission`s withdrawals
Admission is open for all children for specified number of seats available. Students coming from other schools shall be subjected to test and have to produce all required documents at the time of admission. The students desirous to seek admission in Class 10' shall be allowed admission only after Producing migration certiticate issued by board and School leaving certificate from the migrating school. The fees for admission shall be realized on spur wild delay in payments shall not be acceptable without late fee. Parents are required to give one week's notice to the school for withdrawal of their wards. The certificates of all types shall be issued only on clearance of School dues. Parents will have to pay fee for month in which the certificate is issued.
Courses and Syllabus
The medium of instruction is English with Urdu and Hindi as second language and optional as vice versa. The school will impart computer education from 3rd to 10th * There shall be separate period for physical education too. The syllabus of board shall be binding on the school to all classes for which Board publishes books. Besides academics the school is imparting religions education for Hindu/Muslims students up to 8* class. Special emphasis is being laid on computer education, syllabus for various examination and copy of same will be distributed among students at the start of the session.

The school has well equipped and furnished computer and science lab. Which satisfies the need of secondary school. The school has separate library and sufficient books related to subject taught and books of general studies. Besides news paper and magazine are also available in the library.
